Portland, Maine
Private boat charters — cruise the islands, harvest oysters, and taste the real Maine coast.
Why Choose Us
Captain Larus grew up sailing in Iceland and has navigated waters from Long Island Sound to Chesapeake Bay before calling Casco Bay home.
Casco Bay's islands shield the waters from the Atlantic, creating calm, lake-like conditions perfect for a day on the water.
Every charter is just you and your group. We tailor each trip to your preferences for a truly personal experience.

Our Story
After watching the family boat tied to a mooring for a couple of summers, Captain Larus ran into a hotelier in Portland who asked if he could take his guests out on the water. The idea had been brewing for months — and the business took off.
With a USCG Captain's License and over four decades of sailing experience from Iceland to Maine, Captain Larus brings unmatched knowledge of these waters to every voyage.
Guest Reviews
"Larus, the boat captain was tremendous. My wife and I had a fabulous time and we learned a lot about Casco Bay and lobster/mussel/oyster farming and harvesting. He took us to an island with an Inn and visited some lighthouses as well. Not inexpensive but well worth it. It was a great day!"

Oyster Farm Adventure, August 2025
"Boat tour was great! Amazing day with a great tours guide that allowed us to sample oyster farm products and took us to an amazing small Lobster roll place. Saw a few seals on the trip, as well as Portland Head Lighthouse and lots of islands. Very cool. Exactly what we were looking for on a private tour."

Boat Tour, August 2024
"Wow!!! This was absolutely the highlight of the trip. The boat is immaculate, spacious and incredibly luxurious feeling. We saw a ton of wildlife, went to secluded beaches and were offered a ton of beverage options!! But the best part, by far, was Larus himself. What a fabulous person!! This is a MUST! It was perfect in every way!"
