Boat & Oyster Farm Adventure

Experience the beauty of the bay with a local islander on a family boat. Run with us through the archipelago past islands with abundant history of working waterfront, visiting seafarms along the way.

This three-hour adventure takes you on a scenic cruise through the stunning Casco Bay archipelago to a working oyster farm. Spend about an hour cruising out past islands and lighthouses, then dock at the farm for a guided tour where you'll learn about sustainable aquaculture and taste unlimited fresh oysters pulled right from the water. The return cruise offers a different route through the islands, giving you even more of the bay to explore. Wine and soft drinks are provided throughout the trip. It's also a unique setting for birthdays, team outings, or treating your VIPs to something truly special.

What You'll Experience

  • The Portland Skyline As we disembark the city into the archipelago, take in the sweeping view of the Portland skyline from the water.
  • New England Lighthouses Witness century-old beacons as we pass through the channels the first settlers passed through.
  • Abundance of Wildlife Spot seals, ospreys and other seafowl — and be on the lookout for dolphins that on occasion show themselves.
  • Only the Brave Jump In The water is frigid at 55°F. If you're brave, bring a towel and if the conditions are right, take a dip.
  • Visit Oyster Farmers Oysters, mussels, scallops and seaweed are grown in the bay — passing by these ocean farms is an experience.
